Pat Robinson has lost it, "tragedy on gulf coast benefits Judge Roberts"

I hope Dizka got this.

"...The Democrats (in the Senate) cannot afford a vendetta now, Judge Roberts should be grateful that a tragedy will bring him some good..."

OMFG, Pat has really gone off the deep end.

By the way, the director went straight to commercial as soon as the words left Pat's mouth.

Medication time! Medication time!

12. He's always been that way
He called for Khaddafi's death in the 80s. Reagan took him up on it, and instead of killing Khaddifi in the fighter plane raids over Libya, he got his kids. It did work on that particular threat at the time, however, I must concede.

He's called for banning Halloween, because it is "satanic".

He's currently praying for the death of supreme court justices.

I do watch his show when I have a day off. It's crazy. Jim and Tammy Faye were amusing, he's scary because he has political influence over this president and the current GOP. 0

The reason I watch is simple: "Madness in great ones must not unwatched go". (Hamlet)

4. We need to get this out there...
After the Chavez thing, this will get play.

He's exploiting the situation, that by itself will get attention.

15. Sorry, this time he's right.
I know you all wish he wasn't, but this is exactly what will happen. Dems will be seen as (ONCE AGAIN) preferring partisanship over getting things done. Roberts is a shoo-in.

16. "..Roberts should be grateful that a tragedy will bring him some good..."
Are you condoning the callousness? Last week he was calling for the head of a duly elected head of state, today he is saying that the Katrina tragedy has a silver lining.

I'm not condoning anything that idiot says, but rather pointing out that like a stopped clock is right twice a day, he's accidentally stumbled onto the truth.

It's time for the Democrats to finally jump off their ride on the right-wing bandwagon. People don't want this crap.

22. Sadly enough, JugDack might be right
I don't think he's condoning the callousness, as was said, but has simply predicted that the media probably will paint the Democratic Party as "obstructionist" if they don't rubber stamp any of Shrub's choices. That doesn't mean it is right for them to do so, or that the Democrats shouldn't try and at least raise serious questions about Roberts, but that's probably what will happen.

18. He just says what the right wing is thinking. And the Dems will have a
harder time attacking a "hero's" choice for Supreme Court. If Junior had just done his job on Monday, without the rigamarole, Roberts would be fightable.

said Roberts will "breeze through" since the Democrats won't want to hassle him, they have other things to go after...

He's probably right. I wish we could have a "full service 'opposition' party," to steal from Wes Clark
