I am waiting for someone in the press to ask this question of *...
Mr. pResident,

On April 14, 2004, when responding to the notion that you hadn't done all that you could have done to prevent the attacks of 9/11, you said,

"Had I had any inkling whatsoever that people were going to fly airplanes into buildings, we would have moved heaven and earth to protect the country."

Sir, you most certainly had more than an "inkling" of the kind of devastation a hurricane could inflict in the NOLA area...why didn't you and your administration "move heaven and earth" to prevent the suffering happening in NOLA, and other parts of that region BEFORE the hurricane struck? Why wasn't the military and NG evacuating people BEFORE this hurricane hit. And/or, why wasn't there choppers full, and boatloads, and truckloads of water, food, medications, etc. standing by on tarmacs, in loading docks, in ports ready as soon as the storm was over ready to move the INSTANT the storm passed?

Mr. Bush, in light of your adminstration's failure to act approrpiately in "moving heaven and earth" to prevent--or at least immediately mitigate the human suffering---are you going to submit your resignation to the American people, along with the resignations of your whole cabinet, and the director of FEMA?

I'm waiting for just such an question. Who will ask it?

8. *
This AM, * gave a brief speech before helicoptering off to the Gulf, but walked away from the large crowd of press he was addressing, despite their attempts to catch his attention to ask questions. Quite deliberate on his part.
