Possible RW excuse for Bush's incompetence |
|
Yesterday I was listening to this wingnut radio host and his defense of Bush was this
The city and state officials bore primary responsibility for what happened and the reason Bush wasn't directly involved was because he was not asked to help. The feds were respecting the sovereignty of the state and local jurisdictions and only stepped in after they were directly asked to.
He kept saying this over and over. Bush wasn't there because he wasn't asked to be there, basically. Maybe we will be hearing that one in the coming days.

1. Kind of like Condi's excuse for not doing anything after the Aug. 6 |
|
PDB. There were no recommendations! Nobody asked us to do anything! That's because it was HER job to make recommendations.

6. Heard it today. They'll believe it while they need straws ... |

... to grasp at. Then it will fall through as the foolishness it is. By then though, the new excuses will be ready.

7. KICK!!!!!! You're getting it: you're developing an anticipatory strategy: |
|
So, think: here's Rove's conversation...you can almost hear his mind whirling: "Well, they didn't ask us...we woulda come if they'd ve asked us.....down in THIS PART OF THE WORLD (the blacks: listen for the code), why, we didn't know things were so desperate why with all the flooding, and the LOOTING (blacks were looting to stay alive), we had to wait till it was safe to come (shot of Bush coming in Savior style w/ NG trucks w/ water)...people crying..my God thank you. They HAD TO WAIT UNTIL IT WAS THIS DESPERATE. Otherwise not enough agitpropr. ONce the thing happened, they had to devise a strategy to keep the upper hand and going down there immediatley was not going to cut it as they had ALREADY FUCKED up and they knew that. THINK PEOPLE! Get out of stun mode.

The Furher was always late at his speeches to build up anticipation and anxiousness
