A 4 pound jar of peanutbutter and a stackable box |

My contribution to a semi-truck that's being loaded up to head for Kiln, MS from Milwaukee.
Kinda pathetic. But I don't have a ton of money.
But this is my communities response to the crisis. They've apparently adopted Brett Favre's hometown as a place to bring stuff for folks in the area. Bottled water up the gazzo, spam, diapers, raman noodles, etc.
Check in if your community is doing something similar.

They are asking for canned goods, diapers, water, non-perishables, and things like shampoo, toopaste and brushes, toiletries and toilet paper for shelters.
And, the Whole Foods in the center of town is selling coupons for a dollar that you can just add onto your food order for Katrina relief. They are saying the store will match each dollar coupon bought up to a million dollars.
Even Jerry Lewis is saying the first million dollars his Telethon makes over the weekend goes to Katrina relief.
Time to get moving and help these people!

that that stuff can be in subsequent trips. This first trip need to be mostly food and water.
