St. Louis DUers - John Edwards to visit Blueberry Hill
Edited on Tue Jan-27-04 02:36 PM by GumboYaYa
tomorrow (Wed.) at 9:15 P.M.

For those predicting a Gep endorsement of Kerry tomorrow, don't count on it so soon. Joe Edwards, the owner of Blueberry Hill is a Gep supporter. We stopped having our Dean meetups there b/c of the Gep influence. For John Edwards to be making his first stop in St. Louis at Blueberry Hill, I suspect at least some in the Gep camp are switching their allegiance to Edwards.

1. I saw that on the local news last night, pretty smart move on the
location. U City in general is a terrific area for a campaign stop.

2. You are preaching to the choir sister....
:) I'm a proud resident of University City. It's the only place I have ever lived where there is no majority race or religion (the definition of diversity).

3. You are correct.
A few years ago, a friend was going on an interview for a U City police officer job. The friend asked my opinion on U City. My reply was, it's the most diversified, tolerant, color blind community that i know of.

4. I haven't lived anywhere else since I moved to St. Louis.
I can't imagine moving out to the deep burbs. I work a half mile form my house. Lat year I used six tanks of gas all year. My neighbors are all democrats and we all despise Bush. I can't imagine a better place to live (outside of New Orleans).

18. Chicken Tika Masalla - simply fantastic!
I love House of India. Next time you go let me know and I will meet you there.

I'm particulary enamored with The Pageant these days. Growing up in New Orleans I got used to being able to see good music all the time. It was culture shock for me when I first moved to St. Louis. Now I have great music within walking distance of my house.

19. Cool and will do! St Louis has always had good music of all sorts but
we were in need of a concert hall like the Pageant. Mississipi Nights used to be the place to see smaller concerts. I went to the Fox recently to see the Dance Theatre of Harlem, it was fantastic they did a piece titled ST Louis Woman: A Blues Ballet, one of most amazing dance performances I've seen.

8. Off-Topic St. Louis question
I was in SL several years ago and the people there took us to an awesome italian restaurant in some neighborhood that has a lot of neat restaurants. It seems like "something" hill...is this the place?

10. THat is "The Hill" which is the traditional Italian
section of town. You will find lots of Italian restaurants there. One of my favorites is a place called Lou Bacartis (sp?). It's a hole in the wall that serves awesome pizza.

16. Just so you, St Louis has a lot of great restaurants, we're defenitely
a city that eats out a lot. We celebrate everything, St Patty's Day, Cinco de Mayo, Mardis Gras, the even have Bastille Day in Soulard and any other party holiday you can think of. Tower Grove and Soulard are two places I like to take out of towners, along with The Hill and U City.

17. It's a fast moving train Sistersof Mercy......
you don't want to be standing at the station. :)

Where do you live in St. Louis? I think I remember you saying you live in the Kirkwood/Webster area. Is that correct?

20. Yes but I won't be more specific on here
I'll meet up with you sometime but ask that you not reveal any personal info about me. I had a very serious stalker a few years ago so I keep a fairly low profile. I heard he moved to Florida but the goofball still manages to pop up every now and then. If I told you how long this idiot has bothered me you'd be amazed.
