4. This Bill was submitted before Katrina
And is a longer term solution to the "Peak Oil" crisis and the "ownership society" class divisions. I hope everyone will check out who is suppporting it already and if their reps names are not on the list, they will lobby them to sign on.

Wrote my rep and the commitee members as soon as it was submitted. Need to do some Letters to the Editor though... they say that one LTE counts for about 100 phone calls or faxes to a rep.

And certainly we need to get rid of the Bankruptcy Bill. What a horror that thing is. I've had cancer so have some significant med bills but was mostly doing OK paying them off and my credit card debt - but just had to have a basal cell cancer thing removed from my face and may have to go back again if the pathology report isn't clean from the second surgery - Now I am so far in the hole I don't know what to do. I need the Conyers/Kucinich Universal Health Care plan, too...

12. Sorry,doesn't sound that great to me.....
I think now,RIGHT NOW price controls should be put on fuel. Their doing in Hawaii and have lower prices on unleaded gas than in Kansas.

How does the average consumer benefit from WP tax on this bill? Sounds like you have to run out and buy a new $35,000 vehicle to get anything out of it,great for GM and Ford, not so great for me.

Put price controls on gas and natural gas(BTW,our NG supplier has announced price hikes of 25-40% once cold weather hits--how come? Just because...)and do it now. We need IMMEDIATE relief not something thats 6 months to a year down the line.
