It is now time for President Kerry to take action.
It is time to arrest the usurper and bring in some leadership.

1. I weep
when I think what our lives would be like TODAY had Gore or Kerry taken their rightful places in the WH.

3. He is on his way back from Iraq
Edited on Fri Sep-02-05 03:19 PM by politicasista
I might imagine that and Katrina are probably his number 1 and 2 priorities right now.

9. My thought exactly. Katrina is going to be used shamelessly by
the up-til-now useless democratic "leadership"; they're going to try and look good by comparison. Well a pile of dog turd looks good in comparison to GWB right now. That doesn't say much for the likes of Kerry and Clark. Sorry, but that's how I feel. Too little, too late.

12. "My thought exactly. Katrina is going to be used shamelessly by"
the all-the-way-til-now useless Republican "leadership"; they're going to try and look good by lying on like they always do. A pile of dog turd looks good in comparison to GWB right now, and always has. That doesn't say much for the likes of Bush and Cheney and their sorry Corporate media, does it? Sorry, but that's how I feel. Too much, all of the time.

:wtf: what should have Clark said that he didn't say, in your humble opinion? About what exactly....and when should he have said it and how?

I'll take my answer on the air. Thank you.

14. Ya ever get the feeling that politicians in general
have no chance here?

Geez, Clark opens his mouth and he's a publicity hound. He keeps it shut and he's a spineless Dem.

Sometimes I just feel like saying to hell with it. People wouldn't know leadership if it bit them on the butt.

Good thing the good General doesn't feel that way. Full steam ahead!

13. What exactly would you do in Clark's or Kerry's position
Clark has no role in the government. He, like others extended sympathy to the people involved. He spoke out and said Bush was doing a poor job. He has no forces to call out, no agencies he can redirect to deal with it. What would you do?

Kerry is a US Senator, who was in Iraq assessing the situation - with no press - which is part of his job as a member of the SFRC.

Even from Iraq,
He and Sen Landrieau wrote a letter and senta letter to ask that small business get an additional 6 months to put in disaster laon applications (the deadline was Oct 28 - far too short for devasted businesses) - if agreed to, this helps real people victimized by the storm.

He wrote and send emails to his constituents and to the JohnKerry.com mailing list. They gave links to organizations helping victims and extended his (and Teresa's) sympathies. Teresa also donated money.

He also has no armies or agencies to send out. His office also apparently did not want to disclose that he was in Iraq till he was back - I assume for his safety. I assume we will hear his comments on both Iraq and Katrina over time.

11. Who's on his way back from Iraq right now
He's a patriot, actually. If he were an elitist he never would have headed for Vietnam. If you're looking for an elitist, look toward Dubya.

7. If the Republicans won't lead then we have to
That should be the slogan right through 2008 along with a caveat... Republicans don't care about the American people it is obvious by the way they ignored, cut budgets that endangered and finally cost american lives. And their response after the disaster is unconscionable.

8. Why should Kerry start now? He didn't the day after Election Day
"I've got your back." Yeah, right. I'd love to look him in the eye and say, "You didn't even fight in Ohio when so many of us busted our asses for you. You could have done that at least, and maybe Bush wouldn't be presiding over this slaughter-by-nature." It wasn't just an election that was lost. It was hope for the future.

15. I know what you mean. When I saw Clinton
yesterday, I was disappointed in his performance, but it also made me wish for an actual leader, we are so screwed with the clowns in the admin right now.
