There is something about this guy that we are missing in modern politics. He actually seems to care. When I read what he is saying he sounds genuine. It might just be that southern democrat thing, with the bad grammar and down home talk. It's kind of that Mr. Smith goes to Washington quality that we are missing right now. What do you guys think?

1. Mmm YEAH
A lot of what is making him great now is he realizes that the loser that he supported (bush) is screwing him, i noticed that Bush had to meet him on AF1 because he knew that a public meeting with him (nagin) would be a PR fiasco.

6. Nagin did NOT support Bush
I saw him speaking at a Kerry event in March '04.

2. I'm sure he made some mistakes but he shouldn't have had to handle
lawlessness on his own. He asked for help - he didn't get it.

7. I just saw O'Reilly doing it on FAUX, listen to this...
He goes "Well, New Orleans doesn't seem to have a strong leader. Rudy Guilliani was a strong leader on 9/11, that's what they need." I wanted to puke after I heard O'Reilly say that.

12. This was expected
They are going to compare everyone facing a crisis to Gulliani. Hell, the MSM should just start calling Gulliani Saint Rudy.

9. He no longer has a City or at least a
functioning city. What he has done and what he can continue to do - is be the voice for the City of New Orleans.

Bad grammer and all, he has articulated the needs and cries for help of that city.

11. He basically apologized to chimp
for an uncivil tone. AND gave chimpy a photop while shaking his hand. He's no leader for the left, but in time he might make a fine addition to the DLC.
