CNN just showed a mother and her newborn baby sleeping outside...
...on the ground on a piece of cardboard at the airport 'field hospital' in New Orleans. The reporter said the baby had been there several days. She said there are several babies in that circumstances.

Is there ANY horror that people aren't forced to endure there?

But Bush and his Cabal are living it up in Washington. Condi is buying shoes like Imelda Marcos. Hastert is wining and dining the rich folk with his cronies. Cheney is off on vacation (he still can't be bothered to wrap it up). Bush has toured the nightmare in the US gulf, used it in a filthy attempt to glorify himself, and is off to the White House to party it up. Rove is rubbing his hands together in glee, both in joy that poor, black Democrats are meeting their end, and elation that no one can pay attention right now to his OTHER ethical lapses.

And FREAKING CONGRESS can't be bothered to wrap up their vacation either. They should be in Washington NOW to deal with this crisis, as a message to Americans that we matter if for no other reason. Are these people TOTALLY clueless?

But wait... To them, we don't matter.

Nothing could more clearly illustrate that BushCo DOES NOT care about Americans, and feels absolutely nothing because of our suffering. We have a government both out of touch, and running amuk in support of their own selfish interests.

1. That about sums it up
Now just sit back and wait for the infectious diseases to kick in. It will be all over soon.

2. Allow me to reiterate:

3. Wasn't a newborn. Was a 1 year old..or two. Lots of families who
have been evacuated from the Super-dome are sleeping around the make-shift hospital at the airport. Safer than where they were before. So there is evacuation for the sick by helicopter after helicopter..and a much slower evacuation of the rescued.

Yes - she did say they had been there for two days. Sleeping on cardboard. Many, many others are sleeping around the airport too. At least they are secure and fed.

How tragic.
