Blair to send UK troops to New Orleans?

BLAIR HELP FOR BUSH
TONY Blair yesterday pledged Britain's support for the people of New Orleans and the rest of the affected region.

The Prime Minister broke off from a speech on anti-social behaviour to say he phoned President George Bush on Thursday to offer any help needed.

At the event in Watford, Herts, he said: "The whole of this country feels for the people of the Gulf Coast afflicted by what is a terrible natural tragedy.

"As I said to the President, this country will be ready to help in any way we can."
