When U.S. Vice-President Dick Cheney visits Alberta in September, he will attend a fundraising dinner organized by right-wing think tank the Fraser Institute.

"It's a private dinner for a few friends of ours with the vice-president," said Michael Walker, executive director of the Fraser Institute. "It's by invitation-only."

Guests will pay $5,000-$10,000 a plate for the dinner, scheduled for Sept 8.

I suspect he might be like Leonid Brezhnev - he's died, but they're just wheeling out cardboard cutouts of him to convince the public he's okay.

Could explain why Bush has been completely fucking up these last few weeks in the face of Cindy Sheehan and the Hurricane...
