Will Bush be able to buy his way out of this one with our tax dollars? |
|
I suspect that this will be just like Iraq. According to everyone who was there, the untraceable cash was flying so fast and furious, no one could keep track of it.
They are going to throw so much of our money at placating these people. We know how they work. There's no outrage that can't be cured with enough $$$. Look what they did in Florida prior to the elections. I am in total support of spending our tax dollars to help these poor people rebuild their cities and their homes, doing whatever it takes to help them put their lives back together but, I want to know who is spending the money, who is keeping track of the money, etc., etc., etc. How big are the political pay-offs going to be? How much will go to the victims and how much to the politicians to keep their mouths shut?
How many of Shrub' and Jeb's friends are going to get massive no-bid, no accountability contract?
You can bet that they are going to spend out money like crazy to try and buy their way out of this disaster!!

1. Don't you worry. "Those people" will not get your tax dollars. |

2. Money fixes everything except the dead who wouldn't have died |

but for their lack of response. Kinda neat, a government using YOUR MONEY to buy you out... because of THEIR lax attitude towards a known major threat to life and property.

They'll "throw" as little as possible, but whatever it takes to make themselves look good.
But it's not OUR money -- it's our kids' and grandkids' money, borrowed and added to the national debt.

4. Yes. And don't forget the credit card (deficit) |
|
Fortunes will be made. Profit margins will be obscene. When Bush turns in another huge deficit-spending budget, he will blame Katrina. The blood is in the water, and the sharks will definitely feed.
America has lost all fiduciary sense. Accounting for tax dollars spent is "bean counting." No-bid contracts sail by. Money flies out the door in buckets and duffel bags.
Hurricane George hit the country in 2000, and there has been nothing but looting, tribalism, and violence since that storm.
