GDP should enjoy this idiot: "I blame the EPA and environmentalists."
That's the wisdom a moran in one of my classes had to add to our discussion of high gas prices. Why exactly were they to blame? Because they blocked the building of more refineries, so that he could fill up his gas guzzler with cheaper fuel.

I reminded him that if it weren't for the EPA and environmentalists, the entire Gulf Coast would be uninhabitable right now because of what those destroyed rigs could have spilled into the water.

He then proved himself to not only be a fascist, but a pretty stupid one, by saying that he didn't "necessarily have a problem with that," thus destroying any credibility he had in the class. Anything for cheap fuel, I guess.

He was then asked if he would have a problem with having a refinery in his backyard. No response.

Later on, another student, a vet from either Iraq or Bosnia (said he was in for 7 years, I didn't ask where he went) who told me he always votes for the "most socialist," said something about capitalists gouging prices. So the fascist immediately says something about how the vet was a communist, to which he replied, "Damn right I'm a communist!"
