"No one could have foreseen that people would freeze to death |
|
in their homes this Winter." Just wanted to be the first to say it.

as Bush's policies take firm hold, the middle class will totally disappear, and everyone will be poor except for Bush's base- the "have mores", who will be barricaded in their gated communities.

3. There is a potential for real disaster in the NE this winter |
|
If heating oil and gas supplies do not meet demand, frantic homeowners may turn to electric heaters to keep their pipes (and themselves) from freezing.
If electrical demand exceeds supply, it may result in large-scale blackouts during a serious cold snap.
Freezing to death in the dark is a real threat this winter....and it's no joke.
State and local governments are going to have to start planning for this NOW....

I know it isn't the best solution, but insulate the heck out of pipes and buy up as many blankets as you can. Shut off rooms you don't have to use. If you can, use a fireplace or wood burning stove. Cover your windows with plastic, even if you have storm windows, just to add another layer of insulation.

8. If you have oil heat, I would get a generator and have it wired to |
|
operate the furnace.
It would be expensive and require an electrician, but during an extended blackout it might save your life and home....

4. No one could have forseen that selecting a Frat Boy for pResident |

would result in such an upheaval of America's infrastructure, a devolving of her essential services, her involvement in an illegal, immoral war, and her selective use of protective services for her people.

I grew up living in my grandmother's apartment house, which was located on fraternity row on the campus of one of the Big Ten universities. When I was 8, the St. Bernard of one of the frats invaded our yard and attacked me, destroying my toys and terrifying me. The frat boys laughed it off. They laughed it off when they decided it would be a good idea to try and shoot out the windows of my grandmother's house-with her sitting in the rocking chair near the window.
In both cases, notone of the frat boys took any responsibility and denied everything or made up excuses. I try not to be prejudiced against people who pledge fraternities, because I know that not everyone is like these losers were-however, I think Bush would have been a welcome pledge for either one of the frats I mentioned.
