Democrats Controlling the Debate
It seems to me that this is the time for Democrats to try to take back and controll the debate. It seems that now is the time to point out how Republican policies have not worked. I just say a headline that claimed that gas stations are running out of gas. The news has been reporting that there are lines for gas that harken back to the 70's. Furthermore, the other problems that have happened as a result of Hurrican Katrina like the lack of National Guard members leading to looting and inability to get people out of the city and get food to those people. It seems that the Democrats should be able to use these issues to get control of Congress again. The Democrats should not expolit the situation, but they should use it the show why Democrats should be in charge of government or how the Republican policies have failed.

As much as I've had it up to hear with him, he'll give us visibility.

3. they should call them on their phony issues
they should remind voters how much attention the GOP asks us to pay to "sexy" issues like gay marriage, flag burning and Terry Schiavo, and ask voters to demand our government pay attention to boring things like levees.

5. No - they need to stay quiet. Bush & WH have been desperate
to try and turn their evil actions and evil vacuum into just "more politicial attacks on little Georgie". As long as the Dems stay quiet - the truth can be discussed.

6. They need to make political attacks!!!
Political attacks have been launched nonstop from the rethugs and the response has been to cower in silence. This has to stop.

7. I just read somewhere
that Frist has OK'd a vote on the estate tax for Tuesday. I hope that isn't true. Who could conduct business as usual when babies are dying?
