If Bush is left standing after the political fallout of Katrina....
...and when I mean 'left standing' I mean no serious impeachment hearings and a retention of Republican majorities in both the House and the Senate in 2006, I will seriously doubt that any hope for this country will remain.

Last night at this time, and even earlier today it truly looked like the Bush implosion might very well take care of itself. But now the reality, it will take a very hard and committed effort by all of us, for the forces of darkness are yet strong, and when a beast is wounded it fights the most tenaciously. We need to surge forward and expel the evil now.

History is on our side, let us not fail.

1. You can already see they got to the MSM
even the loudest voices have toned down the outrage.
We have to keep bombarding the MSM with emails...don't let them go back to hiding under their rocks in fear of Rover

2. This burns my ass
Like, I initially thought that, in spite of his inaction, he would still end up looking good after this after a couple of photo-ops ala 9/11 and then everyone would be all like "ooh what a strong leader" or whatever the fuck. Then I saw how horrible things got and thought that people might wise up but it's really not looking like that.

5. We don't have casualty numbers yet, How are the people of
this country going to deal with those numbers - 20,000 dead, Tucker was using that number tonight. Galveston was 6,000 - 12,000 dead in 1900. What will the situation be when the tallies are done. When the numbers are figured from hurricane death and then hurricane aftermath/inaction. How will the people react. He cannot possibly look good with 20,000 dead.

4. God, gays, guns...
...and if push comes to shove, the bug-out from Iraq Operation Heroes Homeward.

Should do the trick.

Hasn't not worked yet.

6. Bush isn't going down...
I wish that DU would finally come to a place of acceptance that Bush is untouchable. Bush has a subservient Press, a congress that marches in lockstep, and an opposition party that has no balls.

Bush is going nowhere..

Everyone that I've talked to thus far has drank the Kool-Aid.. I've shown them pictures of Bush playing guitar the day after the hurricane and eating cake with John McCain the day of.. they still excuse him.

Bush is the messiah of morons everywhere. We have to accept that he's going no where.

9. Don't spend it yet.
Remember that these are the people who convinced America that George Bush, not John Kerry, was a Vietnam war hero.
