Another stupid, simplistic remark from Rush Limbaugh
Edited on Sun Sep-04-05 08:34 AM by Bullshot
In his daily blurb aired in the early morning on our local station, America's favorite dope addict was railing against the "environmental whackos" for preventing us from being independent from foreign oil.

Slimeball noted that there is a 400-500 year supply of oil in the U.S. in the form of shale. But the "whackos" have put up such a fight that the oil companies are unable to extract the oil from the shale.

Well, this morning I heard a radio program guest address the issue of oil extraction from shale. He stated that it takes so much energy to heat the shale in order to extract oil from it, that you're spending more energy than you would get from the oil itself.

When I heard this, I figured it's another example of Limpballs blathering and not knowing what he's talking about. And that's been the foundation of his entire show and the dildoheads who follow him.

1. remember that Limpballs and his fans
are anti-science. They'd call the shale export a "liberal whacko" and demand that we go on with shale extraction anyway.

13. They want us to give subsidies to oil companies to produce oil from shale
and then let the companies sell it for top dollar and keep all the proceeds.'

It's the corporate agenda at work. Start defining the "problem", get the taxpayer money to the corporations to solve the "problem", let the corporations rip off the taxpayer.

2. Aren't those drugs he takes degenerative?
I only heard Limbaugh once, over the summer, but I, too, noticed he wasn't making sense.

12. I really don't care what he ingests - it is what he extrudes
that I find offensive - and ALWAYS HAVE.

It's never been logical, never made sense.

How anyone could follow his freeform flow of nonsense if beyond me.

I've had many try to convince that I should listen, if only to know what "the other side" is saying. But he just doesn't make sense.

5. Believe it. If oil companies could get oil from shale deposits and
make a profit, they would be doing it. Rush just makes it up and his listeners buy it.........hook, line, and sinker.

6. Is this oil extraction from shale causing even more enviromental damage...
then drilling? I don't know that much about it.

Of course, why am I worrying over whether Limbaugh would consider the environmental impact. Silly me.

10. As always, the #1 priority of these jerks is hanging onto every last cent.
When it comes to neocons, they couldn't care less about the environment if it means saving a penny now.

15. Proof Positive Rush Doesn't know a damn thing.
If he is talking about drilling, we already extract gas from shale -Look up Barnett Shale. I am pretty sure it is done in eastern oklahoma, ohio, among other places. The barnett shale also contains some oil zones near wichita falls, tx. Nobody goes for it because it is not economical to produce. The reason being is because of permeability (interconnectedness of the pores of the rock). Shale is for all intents and purposes impermiable. (they can extract the gas because of the small molecular size and the large fractures within the rock.)

All you have to do is repeat what he says often enough and then that fixes the energy crisis. I don't know why your always denigrating science.

Unless your a fucking HYPOCRITE you'll allow a refinery to be built on one of those lots Rush.

You rich dicks always try and paint the "wacko Liberal" scenario for why refineries aren't being built but the truth is that you and your ilk don't want them within a 100 MILES of where you live so YOU block their construction using high priced lawyers.
