Worth a chuckle: Dr. Hugh Cort for President (Republican looney)
CORT FOR PRESIDENT 2008
Press Conference held Friday, January 21, 2005
Zenger Room
National Press Club
wanna guess how small the Zenger room is?
here's Hugh ==>
Dr. Hugh Cort kicked off his campaign for the 2008 Republican Presidential nomination with a speech at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. on January 21, 2005, followed by questions from the press. Dr. Cort also autographed copies of his new book, Saddam's Attacks on America: 1993; September 11, 2001; and the Anthrax Attacks, that shows that Saddam funded and assisted Osama bin Laden in attacking America.

Dr. Cort's main purpose in running for President is to draw attention to the crucial need to immediately send 100,000 more troops to Iraq...
Brilliant comedy. Excellent stuff. Here's his "platform" for increasing troop strength in Iraq:
We can get the 100,000 extra troops by mobilizing some of the 300,000 active duty U.S. soldiers doing desk jobs in the U.S., by having civilians do these desk jobs, thus freeing up the troops

By "deskjobs" he means the troops stationed in Germany, Japan, South Korea, and those still recovering from their previous tours of duty in Iraq. That's the only way you get "300,000 desk jobs" out of our current force strength.

Hugh's got a jobs program, too:
We must build a 50-foot or higher wall all along the Mexican border to stop the 10,000 illegal immigrants a day that are pouring into our country from Mexico. A nation that can't or won't defend its borders is a nation that will perish.

But obviously his top priority is world peace:
We should have bombed Iran's nuclear facilities in November or December, before they were too dispersed and hidden. We can still bomb these sites, although now it will take multiple bombing strikes. If we let Iran get nuclear weapons, which will happen in August, Iran will give nukes to terrorists who will blow up New York and Washington. Diplomacy does not work. Iran has so much oil money they do not fear sanctions.

I really wanna see this hilarious performance artist get as much publicity as possible.
