The USS Ship of State Titanic |

Can anyone think of a better metaphor for the disaster in New Orleans than that of the Titanic disaster? The script has changed a little, however... It would appear a few more rich folk were able to enter the life rafts. The underclass were still very much locked in the belly of the sinking ship, as Shepard Smith's eye-witness testimony more than painfully illustrates.

and as the ship is going down, the chimp in chief is calling out dance tunes to the band.
And yes, on a serious note, it is the best analogy out there I think. The first class passengers got out. The steerage passengers went down with the ship.

I know a bit about the Titanic--hubby's great aunt drowned in steerage on that ship. It's a perfect metaphor, particuliarly if you recall the arrogance of the owners and designers.
Hub's dad was best pals with two, YES TWO! Survivors of the sinking of the USS Indianpolis--also an appropriate analogy.
All I can say is NEVER go boating with my Hub's family or friends.
