Panetta says don't touch Bush on values, Neas says independents and moderates whom we'll need in the elections, strongly disapprove of Roberts' views on privacy, etc. and Dems must vote in large nos. to prove they're in touch with these voters.

who's right??

I go with Neas...because if we sell out AGAIN...and a good Dem candidate arises who really IS on this side of the issues (like Clark, for example), then the GOP will merely point to wimpy Dems and say that the candidate has nothing behind him......
