LaRouche groupies endorse Kerry? |
|
From CNN's New Hampshire coverage....
Followers of perennial presidential candidate Lyndon LaRouche interrupted a campaign event for Dean on Monday in Manchester, New Hampshire, before being drowned out by his supporters and removed from the room with the assistance of author-commentator Al Franken. They screamed that Dean is "a liar" and not a Democrat. They said the only candidates telling the truth are LaRouche and Kerry.
Well, if LaRouche and Kerry are the example of "Democrats", I'll be happy to stay with Howard Dean :)

I went to his website, and there is all of this apocalyptic literature. It looks like a cult.

6. Hmmm their tactics are vaguely Rovian.. |
|
I wouldn't believe for a moment they are really LaRouchers. There is now way they'd support Kerry, or any of the candidates. It sounds like dirty politics with a GOP stamp on it. Assume nothing, be shocked by nothing, question everything. That's the mantra for this primary battle. The GOP doesn't spend millions on oppo research, and other activities just to set cookies out at fundraisers in city parks.

This is the second thing we've heard about nuts attacking Dean and advocating Kerry,
The first is the push polling attacking Dean and pushing Kerry and now this "LaRouche protestor"
Both are attacks on Dean, and both are designed to make Kerry look like a class A Nut Job.
Dean looks bad for those who fall for the trick.
Kerry looks bad for those who don't fall for the trick (except that's a trick too)
I hope whoever is doing this gets caught. But I am guessing repubs
On edit clarify

15. The truth about the LaRouche group: |
|
They endorsed Clinton for president. When LaRouche ran in 1996, he said he was running not against Clinton, but to reinforce his "better" instincts. They did rally for Clinton during the impeachment sham. I could foresee them "supporting" Kerry over another candidate for some reason or another--they have a positive view of Ted Kennedy I know.
BUT! As a Dean supporter, I say that this is no reason not to support Kerry. He is not responsible for who LaRouche supports---period.
