C-Span replete with Rove talking points

This morning Rove's talking points were hung out for the world to see - spreading our collective shame arrogantly and blatently throughout our country and the streaming world.

For 90 minutes caller after caller decried the unfair criticism of Bush, of FEMA, of the federal government pronouncing that the blame for NO lay with state and local officials. Caller after caller blamed the storm victims - "they were told to leave", "they chose to stay", "they shouldn't expect help".

With racism brimming to the surface, Rove's army of propaganda referred to the victims as "these people," and "those people," who should be on their own without expecting a free ride and too many places were expected to absorb them!

Then to top it off they put on a Major from the Army Corp of Engineers to talk about the levy repair and who of course is also singing the praise of his Commander in Chief - like a good soldier must.

I turned it off so sickened, I'm not sure when or if I can go back to channel again.

The CYA and controlling the message by blaming the Mayor and Governor is proceeding full speed ahead. Will the MSM bow to the pressure? We need the truth to stay out there for the world to see. These tactics need to be exposed.

1. I've heard that there are PAID people to just call cspan WJ eery morning.

That doesn't surprise me that Rove would do that, and if you listen all the time, you'll get to recognize a lot of the voices. Their job is to make sure that day's talking points get out!

Try to listen to all the callers. You should be able to pick out the real people and get a feel for the real opinions of the country.

2. The real people were pushed out of the way this morning

and the result was so incredibly disgusting. One man said he ripped up the $7,000 check he was going to contribute because of that Rap singer who besmirched Bush. The statement was so outlandish and of course it was phony ... but of course there are many who watch or listen who have no clue these callers are paid and part of a well oiled propaganda machine.

5. One lesson learned...

It was made glaringly apparent... Due to the non-response.

The weakness of the Right Wing Noise Machine is that it has no
physical presence.

Not against Cindy Sheehan.
Not WRT saving lives in N.O.

It's totally ineffectual in the *real* world and on *reality*.

Complete hot air!

It would be nice if more people understood this... Propaganda only
works on perception, not on reality. The truth is still out there.

Chertoff speaking made this so obvious to me. He kept saying "Near
miss! Near miss!" I thought to myself, "Near miss? How's peeling the
top of the Superdome off a near miss?"

Yet another case of, "Who're you gonna believe? Me or your lying eyes."

It seems most of the calls were coming from the Republican line. So much racism in those calls. I was thoroughly disgusted.

Never was able to get through.

It really seems like the RWers are phone bombing the
"Democratic" phone number as well.
