Bush snubs Governor Blanco on his visit to Baton Rouge
According to live MSNBC broadcast, Gov. Blanco refused to let Bush federalize the LA National Guard, as a consequence of that the White House did not inform the governor that Bush was flying into Baton Rouge today.

1. LA officials in the process of getting ROVED. What can we do to prevent?
Unacceptable for the administration to get away with this.

Am sure LA Gov. & NOLA mayor share some blame, BUT the big criminals here is the administration.

LET'S MAKE SURE THEY DON'T GET AWAY WITH DUMPING IT ALL ON THE LOCAL & STATE GOVERNMENTS!!!!

9. Anyone that threatens Bush's public image is punished
Even TV networks are forced to apologize when a TV presenter says bad things about Bush. This is so much like the personality cults found in tyrannies in the Third World.

7. She should play this up
She should get out into the public today (which Bush cannot do without getting mauled) and spend the day handing out water, hugging her people, serving food in a food line....

It would be very powerful juxtaposed against Bush's shameful photo-ops and send the message that getting snubbed didn't "hurt" her. If she would use the day helping instead of posing, this could work to her advantage. Especially since the press already knows that Bush has taken this vindictive step to try to "show" her. In fact, all of the Louisiana repubs should SNUB Bush.

It only hurts Bush.

14. Better Response
If their had been a Republican governor the federal response probably would have been better.

15. I am very happy with the way that was covered.
I think it shows how controlling and petulant the administration has been in handling the Katrina disaster.
