Boston Globe today: Amid Horror, 2 officers commit suicide. Is this true and has it been posted today? Its the saddest commentary on the state of our nation. Even those trained to handle adversity are overwhelmed by the horror they have seen. God help us all.

5. These poor souls endured the worst and now deserve both medical |
|
and mental health care. We owe them big for their bravery in "staying on the job" in the most horrendous conditions - devoid of all humanity! We MUST care for them as they cared for us. :loveya:

crime not only kills & maimes, it traumatizes. First responders are geared to revved to help. When you make them stand down because you lost control of the city...as if that wasn't a predictable outcome...then they are tied up in knots and traumatized by that too.
First responders are not like Arabian horses. You cannot just make them start and make them stop when you feel like it.
