NOLA: Placing blame on locals - REPUBLICANS WANT IT BOTH WAYS |
|
Republicans are trying to shift blame, but in order to do so they have to have it both ways. WE CAN NOT LET THEM!
I tune in to Foxnews for all of 20 seconds to hear them showing NOLA buses deep in water, saying how NOLA should have used them to evacuate before the storm, etc. and how the blame should be shared, etc...
OK, this is it: WHICH WAY DO THEY WANT IT?
Was it the "UNPREDICTABLE PERFECT STORM" or did they "SEE IT COMING"?
If it was UNPREDICTABLE, then they can NOT blame NO/LA gov't for not doing more than it did before the storm...
If they DID see it coming, however, then Bush should have been better prepared once the storm hit.
THEY CAN'T HAVE IT BOTH WAYS!

2. Yes, their position is utterly contradictory |
|
They want no blame, and only local blame.
It's laughable, and anyone spouting it should be called on it.

and the new set of Balls that the media showed during the crisis will soon fall away and they will return to the Bush shills they were prior to the crisis. Its starting already. Within a week...Bush will be the hero and the mayor and govornor will be the villians. Its pathetic but true, they are better at the message than we are.

4. let's play: 'get the nigra': 'why they didn't get out & the tax cut' |
|
Dear President Bush:
God knows you did everything you could and no one could have predicted the levee breaking up. You'd think that the local officials would have done something about this but I guess the mentality in New Orleans leaves something to be desired. I understand that there are lots of people on welfare there.
Sir, I was thinking about the economy and all, and things could have been better lately. I know the war in Iraq is costing a bundle (God bless our soldiers!) but as you know, the tax cuts that Senator Frist proposed or is backing would sure assist the business owners of New Orleans to get back to work and that would make some jobs for these poor people. They sure need an education: it seems they didn't even have the sense the Good Lord gave most of us and they didn't get out in time. How sad.
Sincerely,
