Remember when Poppy Bush didn't have the passion? |
|
Edited on Tue Sep-06-05 12:46 AM by eleny
He ran against Clinton and didn't have his whole heart in the campaign. The press even made an easy big deal over him checking his watch during one of the debates.
W's attitude has been puzzling me this past week. I mean when he showed up, he was so hollow. He looked like he didn't believe what he was saying no matter the nice words Karen Hughes put into his mouth. It just occurred to me that it was reminiscent of Poppy way back when. And most people can sense it, kool aid sippers aside.

1. I agree. He looks "disengaged." |
|
He is not a man of passion. He is not a man of the people. He really would rather be on the golf course.
I wish he were.

He's fired all of his guns at once, he's lost his bottle, he's spent his force, he's blown his fuse....

3. W is dumber than his Poppy |
|
W doesn't even understand that there is a problem.
He knows he misses his tricycle and his pretzels but that's all.

4. to my mind, 'the patriarch' is only really mobilized... |

when protecting the bush family name, sure, he'll say we are all strange for questioning his motives, but he's made far fewer moves since katrina than his kid & only then when his son = bab's golden baby boy, was getting pummeled in the press http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=104&topic_id=4651586&mesg_id=4651586

5. Yep, and the really crappy thing |
|
is that he will be able to weasel out of all the awful things that have been done in his name when they figure out he has presenile dementia related to alcoholism. I hope I'm wrong on this assessment but am getting the feeling I'm not.

7. I remember him reading from notes his staff had prepared . . . |
|
and mistaking instructions for his text . . . it was during one crisis or another, and he stood right up at the mike and said "Message: I care" . . .

he's a miserable failure and snuck a few peeks at the news against his handlers' advice. He's not up to the job. He's a complete fraud and he knows it.
