Contact your elected officials and demand they delay the Bush agenda... |
|
America is grieving. We need time to mourn our losses in the gulf coast. Out of deference to the sensitivities of the American people, our elected officials must defer the Bush agenda.
We don't need to hear debates over things like Roberts and Social Security private accounts right now.
Our elected officials must be sensitive to our grief!
Please contact your elected officials today and demand they give America time to mourn.

3. Contacted Ted Kennedy, Stephen Lynch, John Kerry... |
|
Kennedy's staffer actually sounded like she was crying on the phone. She's been getting calls all day.
Kerry's office has also been getting calls all day.
Stephen Lynch's office said I was their first call about this. That was about 11:45 AM this morning.

4. I have contacted Boxer, Feinstien and that idiot Issa |
|
I am asking for censure of Bush (at the least) and hopefully impeachment for criminal negligence. He was enjoying our fine California sunshine while many of our citizens were being killed by the storm.

5. If they're in the House, they should switch over into IMPEACHMENT mode. |
|
Edited on Tue Sep-06-05 05:59 PM by calimary
If they're in the Senate, they are HONOR-BOUND to talk with their friends and colleagues and state delegations in the House, and urge that IMPEACHMENT proceedings be launched. And their staffers should do likewise with the staffers of anybody in the House with whom they hang, and eat lunch, and share elevator rides and such.
FUCK bush's "agenda." He's dead meat. It is SERIOUSLY time to get rid of him. We've given him chance after chance to do good and he just keeps fucking up. Worse and worse. Can we REALLY afford three more years of this? Can we withstand it? Can we risk it?
BTW - if you suspect that they might be afraid, remind them of the groundswell of outrage out there. People aren't buying the blame game. It's past time these assholes were held accountable. I've called several reps and insisted this, and their response? Various versions of "well, er, you're not the first person who's called about this today..." I even got one from Diane Watson's office who said she'd add my name to a long list of people calling for the same reason today.
