Question re: Blanco and use of LA National Guard........

I've looked on the LA official website and tried to find in the gazillions of threads here, to no avail.

Can someone PLEASE advise me regarding how Gov. Blanco used the LA National Guard BEFORE the storm hit, as well as during and after.

I know there were some getting people into the Superdome before the storm hit, but beyond that I don't know how many she had called up and what the orders were.

Also, I've been asked why she didn't use guard rescue helicopters to rescue the people earlier or at least drop food and water.

that this poster is trying to gather information for arguments with the Right Wing, not trying to barf out the RW talking points.

I also heard a lot of anti-Blanco crap all weekend and had no access to a computer and so couldn't come up with sufficient arguments to refute what was being said.

LA National Guard had been sent to Iraq along with all the helicopters. That's why their trying to imppeach bush. just about every news web site has this info.
