CSPAN 1: Rhenquist prayer service
CSPAN 2: New America Foundation meeting on security and 9/11. Biden speaking. The only senator who did not call for helping the victims on his website had just a couple words on the tragedy, talking about the lessons we can learn. Biden is really a zombie.

1. I'm so tired of hearing Biden babble. |

And I happen to like the guy.
But, he's just not general election material.
The true foreign policy candidate isn't Biden, despite what the media keeps alleging. :eyes:

2. Does anyone really understand what he is proposing? |
|
How can anyone say he is easy to understand? Every time I think I know where he's going I find he has switched 180 degrees. He is railing against Bush's policies, but then he goes off on tangents and I can't parse what the hell he is saying. This after finding Kerry, Bill Clinton and Al Gore crystal clear and insightful - every time they spoke.
I bet Kennedy (and Kerry for that matter) loved Biden's comments that Bush inaugeral address as sounding like JFK with a different accent. His ego is bigger than almost anyone else's.

3. Cspan should telecast one US soldiers' funeral per day |
|
When I turned it on and saw a funeral in progress with weeping kids and somber adults, I was so INCREDIBLY stupid that I thought, ohmigod, someone has had the decency and PATRIOTISM to telecast a funeral for one of the US soldiers sacrificed for the war profiteers in Iraq. I shortly realized it was the funeral of that judicial tyrant and egomaniac. I'm surprised they had a standard American flag on the casket. Didn't he leave orders to add gold stripes? As you may recall, when he was appointed Chief Justice, he had gold stripes added to the sleeves of his judicial gown.
I'm sure Scalia is absolutely furious that Bush did not choose him for CJ, especially after the way he's sucked up to Chaney and Bush. It's simply that he's too old, and Bush/Chaney want a young CJ on the Supreme Court to continue its neocon applications and interpretations of the law for as long as possible.

4. Bizarre John Roberts CSPAN Promos |
|
Did anybody else catch the John Roberts infomercials on CSPAN last night? I saw three of them, each about 25 minutes long, staged interviews with Roberts former coach, teacher, and friend/roommate. All of the questions were puffballs, things like: "So what is it, do you think, that makes John Roberts such a genius?"
I'm just wondering if anybody has any info on who produced these spots, because they were downright disturbing, like the government sponsored medicare spots.
One question to Roberts' roommate: "So what did John like to do for fun?"
"Oh, I remember he loved ice cream."
Good Lord.
