Investigative Committee: (n.) Small groups of legislators meeting at irregular intervals in order to shift the blame to other groups of legislators.

Blue-Ribbon Commission: (n.) Small group of current politicians, former politicians and businessmen meeting at irregular intervals in order to cover the asses of their cronies.

FEMA: (n.) Fucked-up Emergency Mismanaging Asswipes. Former emergency response group relegated to worthless status when absorbed by Homeland Security Department and headed by an incompetent SOB who couldn't hold onto a job anywhere else. (v.) to be FEMAed; to be ignored for at least five days until it becomes politically expedient to rescue you.
