What is Bush doing to people that silences them? |
|
I've seen it over and over again. Someone will come out and criticize Bush, they'll be this controversy in the press, then suddenly the person who came out will be eerily silent.
What is Bush doing to these people? What could be worse than the smearing he does to them in public that would keep them quiet?
I mean, it's not NORMAL for Democrats to remain silent while Bush does horrible things. What is he doing that keeps all the Democrats silent? What is he doing that keeps Governor Blanco quiet? What is he doing that keeps Nagin quiet?
Something is up, and I want to know what it is.

8. My sister and I have asked this question over and over again... |
|
we think that he blackmails people and if he doesn't have anything legitimate on them, he'll (Karl Rove) plant something, make something up, etc. to cast doubt and conduct a character assassination (remember, it can be an outright lie and people will still believe it because the media has been his mouthpiece)....just remember Kerry and the Swiftboat nightmare. I mean really, Bush is the one who was AWOL, Kerry is the one who was a war hero and look at what happened.....there are simply no words to describe this so I won't try. Anyway, that's what they do (imho).

and Richard Clarke.
Paul Oneill was rather obvious and sloppy by the BA. He was on Katie Courics segment and said he was voting for Bush in 04. Was very obvious he was sending up a red flag that something was wrong.
No one has heard from him since!!!!
Very strange.

20. Doesn't have to do any of that, I bet. |
|
Ever see Stanley Milgram's experiments on peoples' responses to authority? Most people are all too willing to fall into line, if the person in charge gives off enough of a "I AM in charge and you WILL be in trouble if you don't obey" vibe. Even people who think they know better, and/or should know better.

21. I have a question for all of you..... |
|
Have any of you ever written to Bush and criticized him on anything? I'm just curious, because I have never written to this white house, others yes, including his father. The reason I haven't, is because they are very dangerous people and it would be useless.
That's the reason I believe people keep quiet. This is the only time in my life, where I wasn't compfortable writing to my government.
So please let me know if you have ever written and if you got a response.
I would also like to know if others feel afraid. Please answer honestly.....thanks

Thomas Jefferson said something like this, I don't remember the exact quote. But, yes, this is the first time I have felt this way about a president ~

I sent them an email. I never got a 'real' response, just an automated 'thank you for your concerns' thing. I tried to respectfully say that I was not happy with the war. I guess they have been getting a lot of that, though.

28. I sent a letter to Bush senior when he was president. |
|
It also was a respectful letter disagreeing with the persian gulf war.
It was 2 pages and I sent it prior to the war.
Unlike you, I never received a damn thing, nada, zip. I had expected to receive at least a standard reply.
My letter had many questions, which is why they propably didn't bother to reply.
For this reason, I was not at all shocked that Bush does not respond to anyone who doesn't agree with him. I know now that his father is the same way.
I have only received 2 replys on this post. I may post in on the front page. I think it is an important subject, don't you?
What has happened to our country?? It is obvious we are living in a dictatorship with very little recourse with an impudent congress on both sides. Thanks for replying.

24. Threats of murdering them or spouse or |

their kids?
Speculation right now as there is no real news info yet but Tuesday night, a State Legislator was deliberately run down in front of the state capitol building.
"deliberate hit-and-run" were the words used.
Speculation: a local state message to all federal level? Or not.
As y'all get up before I do, someone please check oregonlive.com and statesmanjournal.com and post.
Thanks

Lack of strong leadership in the Democratic party. That is partly so because it is yoked with the Clintons, whose own personal ambitions are so overwhelming that the actually compromise the party's ability to grow strong and resolute under new emerging leadership.

I believe the Bush Mafia (alias BFEE) employs them all. Mostly political and reputation homicide but I don't think they stop there, if that doesn't work. Certainly all sorts of blackmail regarding family and friends. Next on the list is probably physical threats. Obviously I have no proof, just impressions and intuition.
