Why do I get the feeling that, if today's Republicans were in charge then, |

we would not have a cure for polio - or, if we did, it would not be distributed to the masses?
Why would we have no cures?
This misAdministration seems to be of the mindset "Don't fund it. It ain't gonna happen." And when something does, they're "in shock because something happened."
Remember, Clinton & Co. took the initiative and prepared for the Y2K issue - as a result, the damage was minimized. No, they didn't do it alone, but could you imagine Bush & Co. trying to get ahead of that problem?
These people seem to be totally REACTIVE, not PRO-ACTIVE. Unless it's tax cuts for people inheriting large sums of money.

1. We would all just be praying real hard for a cure |
|
Or burning certain people at the stake as the "witches" that brought on the pestilence.

2. we sure as hell would still be part of England! |

We'd sing "God save our gracious Queen" before cricket matches. The MSM would be The Times and BBC. We'd drive on the wrong side of the road. And, we'd still have a lying, duplicitous government and a slime ball as PM.
We'd be one step ahead, though. The Bushes and Walkers would have ended up in Dartmoor Prison in 1940, and would be eligible for parole just about now.
