4. Yadda, yadda, yadda...
I've turned it off. Let me know if he actually says anything that takes Bush to task, calls out his fellow Dems, or issues any sort of threat or challenge.

7. heh ...
you'll be the first to know ...

he actually did make some good points about the budget ... he pointed out that the budget has scheduled $10 billion in medicaid cuts ... he also mentioned the war in Iraq ...

his "tone and attitude" were combative ... that's good ... but Democrats are just not capturing the hearts and minds of the American people ... is that the fault of the press? well, maybe ...

the truth is, that without a more powerful, and i'm sorry to say, more dramatic message, we ain't going nowhere ...

8. He comes across like Mr. Rogers with a chip on his shoulder.
We need to get us some Senate and House leaders who address the REAL and COMPELLING issues, directed to the American People, and unapologetically in the face of the Republican Neo-Con agenda. WE MUST. Reid and Pelosi are too soft, to the point of collusion, on the Republican regime.

9. let's go visit Mr. Closet and see if Mr. Sweater is home ...
too many on DU think it's all about attacking bush ...

you're dead on the money ... the Party needs to start addressing the REAL and COMPELLING issues ... the issues they current set as top priority are all very valid and very important but they need a much more powerful platform ...

what the hell can we do to wake them up ???

heading out ... back later ...

5. Probably a "good guy", comes across way too soft!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He is NOT what we need. Not sure that any of the Dems could play in the same manner as the hateful, dirty righties. Sad.

10. Gonna miss Sen. Reid's chat. I am sure I know what he'll do
Ask that we bring in Shrub so there can be some butt kissing and worshipping. Oh, um, like, someone messed up, uh, I am sure the Republicans have done all they could. We shouldn't uh play the blame game, uh, it is probably our fault too. Oh, uh, mmm, uh, shame. Yeah.

11. Why don't Democrats "get" that we need to speak
in absolutes? No more wishy-washy, go-along-to-get-along shit.

Tell it like it is: if Shrub is to blame, blame him. If there is a screw-up in the administration, point it out. Offer a clear solution and be done with it.

The people want leadership. They're craving it. Leadership does involve compromise on the working level, but absolutes on the speaking level.
