Ben Stein: "Get Off His Back" - BEHOLD! LOOK INTO THE EYES OF THE BEAST!
READ HOW THEY THINK! Try not to look away from your screen! I DARE YOU TO GET TO THE END!

http://www.spectator.org/dsp_article.asp?art_id=8693

>George Bush did not cause the hurricane.

As if any anyone said he did?

>George Bush did not make this one worse than others.

Not the hurricane, Mr. Logic, the RESPONSE.

>There is no overwhelming evidence that global warming exists as a man-made phenomenon.

You're supposed to be smart, right?

>George Bush had nothing to do with the hurricane contingency plans for New Orleans.

Yes, we know that!

>His job description does not include making sure every adult in America has a car, is in good health, has good sense, and is mobile.

You wrote a book on logic, eh?

>George Bush is the least racist President in mind and soul there has ever been and this is shown in his appointments over and over. To say otherwise is scandalously untrue.

I hope you people are reading this.

>George Bush is rushing every bit of help he can to New Orleans and Mississippi and Alabama as soon as he can.

It just gets better and better...

>There is not the slightest evidence at all that the war in Iraq has diminished the response of the government to the emergency. To say otherwise is pure slander.

or common sense...

3. Ben Stein shut the hell up
Just shut up Ben. Read the facts. You aren't that stupid; they kept ships and other aid away, and left those people for 4 days. He was on VACATION during the worst national disaster we've ever had...and we've had a few, recently even.

Eat some of your cash, or put it in other orifices, but shut the hell up Ben.

6. Ben Stein would excuse HITLER if he was a Repuke.
Throw that in his ugly smirking face. That smarmy little, and I do mean LITTLE, rat bastard is a symbol of everything that is wrong in this country.

...got about two paragraphs in.

A bluebird is NOT blue and a bear does NOT go pee pee in the woods. To say otherwise is scandalous slander.

Would love to see Ben hooked up to a polygraph machine and questioned as to his sincere belief in each of these claims. He'd break the fuckin' needle.

"Slander"? To suggest our Iraq commitments might have impeded
or affected the situation WRT Katrina is "slander"? It almost
HAS to be true for the neo-fascists to get that hysterical about
denying it.

14. Why would I care about the opinion of a former gameshow host?
I mean, seriously, shouldn't we be getting Wink Martindale's take on current events if we're going to be listening to this guy?

15. Isn't that one of the most amazing essays to come out of all this?
You could teach a semester-long course on faulty logic and weak argument, just using Stein's essay alone. It's got it all!
