how we can go from calamity to calamity with absolutely infantile response from paid professionals who have told us repeatedly they are prepared..I will never know.

And this new round of horrible humiliations to the U.S. is reminding us how destructive to our open society and democracy the Telecommunications Act and other consolidation of media really was.

After a few days of stark honesty, the media is back to pandering to their paymasters. They are leaving room in people's minds to say "it isn't so bad"..."the government is taking care of us"....rather than slapping people silly with the truth we all know--Bush is a raving lunatic with no leadership powers whatsoever.

The VERY FIRST THING he should have done when going to New Orleans was FIRE FEMA chief. This is deplorable. I cry for the nation I love when I see these monkeys destroying it with no conscience.

They've taken ove the government, they've destroyed our foreign relations, they've seriously damaged the economy by letting the oil companies screw us, and now they are physically harming our citizens.

I'm going to work for the next 3 years to make sure every poor person in our county gets registered to vote, gets to the polls and votes. I want them to know the consequences of not voting. NO is an example of what happens if the GOP-run government feels like they owe you nothing.
