Ken Mehlman is putting out a press release saying Pelosi is way |
|
over the TOP! Nancy called Shrub "dangerous" and Mehlman is frantically trying to quell the fire!!!!
BTW, Nancy said she told Shrub he needs to fire Mike Brown, and he said why would I do that? She said because of all that went wrong during the hurricane disaster. Shrub said..."What went wrong?" Then she said, the Pres is in denial, oblivious, and dangerous!

2. Denial, oblivious and dangerous -- Damning words! |

Nancy Pelosi is taking no prisoners. She was right to wait for Bushco to get so far in over its head that it couldn't find a way out.
Mehlman's statement is reactive! Nancy has the entire GOP by the cojones today.

Everyone on the planet who had doubts now knows. He cannot quell this fire - this is nature's wrath - the fire is being fuelled by the oil in that fetid water full of human beings murdered by their neglect. It is too late. Fuck off neo-cons.

Aren't you the party that wasn't going to point fingers or play the blame game? Follow your own talking points and lay off of Nancy Pelosi! Thank you.

"Gumby,
I read in the news today that you object to Nancy Pelosi's comments regarding George Bush. You need to get a clue. Thousands of Americans died while ol' George dithered at the ranch. George Bush won't interrupt his vacation for a MAJOR AMERICAN CRISIS! Gee, I feel safe. The Department of Homeland Security is a massive joke that cost the American taxpayers billions of dollars - so much for Republican ideals of efficient and accountable government. Bush wastes tax dollars worse than any other President.
And let's get the incident straight, not the rewashing of recent press. Nancy Pelosi said:
"At a news conference, Pelosi, D-Calif., said Bush's choice for head of the Federal Emergency Management Agency had "absolutely no credentials."
She related that she had urged Bush at the White House on Tuesday to fire Michael Brown.
"He said 'Why would I do that?'" Pelosi said.
"'I said because of all that went wrong, of all that didn't go right last week.' And he said 'What didn't go right?'"
"Oblivious, in denial, dangerous," she added."
And get a clue, Sherlock. I agree with her. George Bush has abdicated his Presidential responsibility under the Constitution to both provide for the common defense (get a clue: that means keep Americans alive) and promote the general welfare (get a clue: that also means keep Americans alive AND prevent economic catastrophe by responding in a reasonable time frame). Your pal George violated his oath of office.
Keep on spinning, Gumby. The American public is watching, and 2006 elections are not that far away. You better hope another hurricane doesn't land smack in the middle of some other American city while you're spouting 'now is not the time' to protect your boy Bush. Americans don't take kindly to a government that ignores the value of human life and declines to act when American lives are threatened. Funny how you've forgotten that Republicans are supposed to be the ones protecting American lives post 9/11 - must be more spin.
We will NEVER forget or forgive George Bush for what happened after Katrina, no matter how hard you spin.
I used to be Republican. Now, Nancy Pelosi speaks for me. What does THAT say about the Republican Party?"
I must confess, it felt good.

20. Y'know, when Richard Nixon was up to his ears... |
|
... in investigators and missing tape recordings, the chairman of the Republican National Committee was adamant that Nixon and his White House had done nothing wrong--and maintained that line of bullshit almost to the day Nixon resigned.
The chairman? George Herbert Walker Bush.
I don't expect Mehlman to behave any differently.
