NOW how much does it matter if the 2004 election was stolen?
Any DUers who might be relatively new, and anybody who might not have taken a good look at it, are urged with heartfelt sincerity to be acquainted with these classic DU posts.

You need to know them: for yourself, and for the future.

To believe Bush won the election, you must also believe...

A tremendous amount of work has been done in the 2004 Election Results and Discussion forum. It's not about whether or not Kerry could have won; it's about how he did win, and it was stolen out from under the majority of Americans. Just like in 2000, but this time with a manufactured popular vote victory so that any of us who took a second look at it could be marginalized as kooks.

Please be informed. There's a lot of work ahead. Make sure you're armed with all the information, because their weapon is disinformation.

We have truth on our side. Make sure you're informed.

Ten thousand lives have been lost that could have been saved. Hundreds of thousands have lost their homes and their history. We have a job to do. Doing it well requires knowing how all this came to pass in the first place.

Still here. Still working for truth, justice, and yes: the American Way.

3. Thanks Bleever, folks here are still working on this in our states
and post occasionally...but there's not been much interest with all that's going on.

Now Diebold is trying to get it's claws back in NC after we just passed a bill to try to keep them out. Wining and dining elections officials. And we've got to watch our county elections officials every minute to make sure they comply with the new bill.

It's hard keeping folks focused on it.

So thanks for the reminder and the links for folks to know that if we don't keep raising this we will lose again in 2006 and 08. We can see how very powerful they are...and I keep hoping that something will happen in Ohio that will blow this into the open.

All the news about the CoinGate Scandal seems to have dropped off the radar..even Iraq..but maybe this mess Bush has gotten himself into will expose his incompetence and shake loose a few judges who are clamped down on everything. We have to hope...got nothing left but that.

5. Or possibly a loyal Republican in the know from a Gulf State
may see the light. It would be hard because they would have to implicate themselves.

At minimum some seem to be trying to close the rift caused by the negative campaigning last year. Senator Lott, who disliked Bush anyway seemed disgusted with the help. In his Senate speech, he singled out John Kerry as a colleague who called to help - which was nice, but if many of his peers called to help, why mention just Kerry?

8. I think this hurricane shook a LOT of things loose. And while it seems
to be off the radar, work continues in Ohio on the election, on CoinGate, on the bogus recount.

And elsewhere, don't miss The National Summit to Save our Elections:

9. What matters more in that Gore was elected in 2000 and the
Chimp got installed. His record in Texas was pathetic, but people were dying more slowly (as a result of environmental laws being trampled). The rich got richer, etc., but at least he wasn't able to affect the rest of the country.

12. It Really Doesn't
The idiots are still in control, anyway, and we have no proof. And by "proof," I mean, something that would stand up in a court of law, "beyond a reasonable doubt" and what not.

That election shouldn't have even been close, but we had incompetent people telling Kerry that he had to play to the center.

15. I second that.
Perception is reality, and the general perception is that Bush won. That's all there is to it. Unless you've got something absolutely irrefutable to go to court with, it's absolutely irrelevant, even so far as to try to change the system.

14. It is all part of it, and if we don't take the election fraud seriously,
we will remain the "minority voice" at best, by design called "rigging".
We will see the "surprising results" in 2006, again.
