Poll question: (1)Should Bush be impeached over Katrina and (2)should members of
his Administration (including Bush) be jailed for their actions/ inactions in connection with Katrina?

1. As much as I dislike Bush, trying to
impeach him over Katrina will set a very bad precedent for future administrations, including democratic ones.

plus if you are going to jail bush for his lack of action / inaction, their are several local, state politicians that can just as easily have the case made for their incompetence and incarceration.

Just call them as I see them. There is LOTS of blame to go around.

If you think a democratic administration would have done better, you don't have a clue on why government in general doesn't respond well to disasters of this nature like they do. Governments are mostly made up of bureaucrats, with one sole mission in life: CYA: it doesn't matter what political stripe they are.

3. No, a democratic President would NOT stay on vacation NOR
Appoint a lackey without true FEMA experience. Brownie F'd up and was sent back but not before THOUSANDS DIED.

IMPEACH with extreme prejudice! :puke:

9. Set the Precedent already
Since it is very obvious that most if not all Bush appointees are based on political connections and not competence or experience, setting a precedent of getting rid of them would mean a better democracy,no? Any Democrats of a similar cover your ass once you've killed several thousand - or even one - of the citizens whose government you work for should also get the same.

4. Bush is going nowhere.
He is a puppet. They need him out front for now, and when they don't THEN, and only then will he be gone.

6. Bill Maher joked about...
...recalling Bush the way California recalled Gray Davis. Why can't we do that? Recall him and have new elections. Doesn't it just require getting a certain number of signatures?

7. UHHH...no. Getting rid of the President doesn't work that way.
You have to have the houses of Congress impeach a President to remove him.

8. Too bad.
I like the idea of having new elections instead of just having more republican fill in.

10. I like the idea of sending him to the moon.
Let him stay there in a little shack forever.

Send Cheney too.
