Is It A Coincidence Phrase "Blame Game" Popping Up All Over?
You don't suppose that they are all reading off the same set of talking points, do you?

Scottie sure stuck to "blame game" as an anchor he could go back to no matter what the question asked.

Just goes to show that a working brain is not valued by Republicans, just individuals who can repeat useless phrases and stick to a script no matter what the question asked.

Republicans ... the Stepford Wives of Politics!!

2. You were watching the Daily Show just now too huh? ;)
And yes, there is always a "phrase" every Republican with a camera in his/her face recites when pesky little problems like this crop up!

9. And Jon Stewart's conclusion was....
Those who talk about a "Blame Game" are to blame!

4. Sounds Like Another Karl Rove Production --"blame game"
Rove likes to issue catchy talking points because they are easy for their automatons to recall.

7. Just Once I would like to see .......
a MSM Reporter interviewing one of these "talking points repeating machines" just stop, turn to the camera and say "It is obvious no matter what question I ask of this person he/she will not give us a real responsive answer but rather will repeat some talking points drivel. Therefore this interview has been terminated."

Why let non-responsive on-message dolts use valuable tv time to promote a political agenda without ever answering a question.

8. Perfect response......
So it's just a "game"? The "blame game"? Blame needs to be figured out precisely because it is life and death, not a "game".

10. "Outfoxed." Watch it. "The Republican Noise Machine." Read it.
The RW machine is no more capable of individual thought than the Bratz dolls.

11. So true
Remember Ronnie ,Blame the liberals, Reagan was the one who said the buck stops here, then turned around and blamed everyone else from the poor to the unions for all of americas problems. Seems that most americans are more willing to blame then take responsilbilty for their actions. We are living through a time of self centered egotistical self important people that want everything and think they are the only ones that have problems with paying bills. unlike the liberal democrats though, the sheepicans blame everyone except the ones who are causing the problems, the greedy rich big bussinesses out there. They shop at walmart drive honda cars and blame the job loss on the worker and don't seem to grasp that because of their actions they are causing the job loss. My home town was a GM town, at one time in the 70's there were 8 GM factories and foundries in town and supplied 90% of the jobs. Today theres 3 G factories left, all of the foundries have since closed and moved to mexico. The sheepicans that are fortunate to have jobs refuse to admit that when the last GM factory closes the town will die. They tell the unemployed displaced workers that theres plenty of jobs and that they are just lazy for not having a job. They believe the Reagan lie, work hard and you too will be rich. We know hard work don't mean riches, we will break even as long as the health holds out or the job last. The sheepicans can't see past today and for the most part think it can't happen to them, as long as they vote republican and blame everyone for problems.

12. They're all reading from the same script.
If they are asked a question they don't want to answer they just ignor it and trot out the latest talking point and try to shift the blame onto the Democrats. You can see this over and over again anytime they are interviewed.

13. Lakoff would call it a successful frame.
It's successful not because it's oft repeated, but because it's repeatable, and fits in with how we perceive things: it's being played as a game.

One side wants us to accept that the other side is wholly wrong, and the other is wholly right. One's own side is, of course, wholly right: and when you get people to accept that, you score a point. The side with the most points wins.

All bad versus all good, trading in the most blatantly false stereotypes. It's a silly game.

14. This feeble Republican attempt at deflection is becoming a joke.
People see it for what it is, just a pathetic attempt of this administration to escape responsibility for their gross incompetence and the dereliction of duty of Homeland Security and FEMA.
