Anyone else have the feeling this country isn't big enough for
the two of us? * and the American people. I mean like it's him or us, one of us can survive but not the other? Is that, I mean, is it just me? I am just so tired of being traumatized by this administration and this idiot in the White House. Anyone else tired of it all? Exhausted by it?

3.  i listen to AAR; I read DU

then I go work on a local campaign here. It does the candidate good, it does me good. I get to meet other progressives. I'm going to stay active, even if it's just stuffing envelopes at campaign headquarters. Hoping this activity will keep me sane.

2. Yes and I find myself
irritated beyond belief by trivia these days. I cannot stand the thougth that while we are comfortable, little ones and elderly souls are suffering. Parents have lost children, children have lost parents. People have lost their homes and their beloved pets. I can't even fathom this much loss but I am hurting with them. God bless them. I will do what I can in my limited financial means.

6. Yes there is a disturbance. Thank goodness so many of us are
disturbed. It shows we still have higher level humanity and decency.

7. YES!! I am tired of it all!! (Warning: Overdue rant)
Each day, I think that it can't get any worse. And it does. Each day, I think about what kind of a country my nieces and nephews and other children will have handed to them. And it's not a happy thought and I fear for them.

I am sick of * getting away with everything! There is no accountability whatsoever. They are like automatons with no souls and no emotions or feelings. They are motivated by greed and propelled by arrogance. They do not know kindness. They do not know despair. They do not know loneliness. They do not know fear. They do not know compassion.

We just seem to go from one disaster to another. All the while, more people die for the sake of these greedy bastards while they salivate like wild dogs over another opportunity to slap each other on the back and make money.

I truly hate * for destroying this country each and every day of his stolen terms. I hate him for not caring about the children of this country and this world. I hate him for aiding and causing so many unnecessary deaths of people from Pass Christian to Basrah.

I feel as though I'm in one of those dreams where I'm screaming but no sound is coming out.

Peace...

8. I worked on a state level campaign here in NJ. I met Senator
Lautenberg, and discussed the cable monopoly. During the discussion, I said, "Look into their eyes there's nothing there". You know the saying about the eyes being the window to the soul, look into Dubya, Condi, etc.s eyes, there really is nothing there, but a blankness.

11. Yeah, someone recently told me that my eyes sparkle, this was
before Katrina, and I have been under lots of stress lately and just sick and tired of this administration - you know, didn't feel an inner sparkle. But this is so true, the eyes being the window to the soul. I have often wondered what that means exactly? How does that work? Even though I can't explain it, I can see it. Just like you say, I don't see it in these people. "Be ye not deceived" and "When you do it unto the least of these, you do it unto me" not to mention, "To whom much is given, much is required." "Compassionate Conservatives" my ass; they are neither!

13. So this is backlash...
... welcome to it.

It's an ugly and necessary counterpoint to the radical right-wing drift that has been taking place.

It took the sixties to counter the fifties.

It's gonna take 00s to counter the 80s.

Hunker down and get ready for the fight of your generation.
