"The government will not help you" |
|
I heard this first on O'Reilly a few days ago, then again on the local news yesterday, when they were talking about a big quake hitting L.A.. When O'Reilly says it, he's just spewing filth, but when it seems to get picked up by our mild-mannered, un-confrontational local reporters (who usually prefer to talk about new cosmetic surgery options), it's damn scary.
So now there is a realization that we are all basically on our own? Time to ask the militia people where they get their freeze-dried food and big drums of water?
What the hell? They just said it like it was already common knowledge. Better get prepared to go at least a week completely on your own. I know - not a bad idea really - be prepared for a natural disaster. But framed as "because no one else is!!!"....well, yikes...

1. What better way to turn us all against each other? |
|
Scarier still is the way they're able to combine this message with "moral values" by telling us that it would be wrong of us to expect help from our government. I think the whole country has fallen down the rabbit hole.

4. If the big one happens |
|
we're just going to secede and take all the food we produce with us and keep all our blue-state taxes.
Maybe we'll join Canada and take Oregon and Washington with us.
Of course, if it's big enough we may be an island ...

2. hell no! If my taxes are going to be spent on "homeland security" |
|
then I fucking well want some security out of it, instead of the 'joy' of making Halliburton's stockholders happy.

If the Government is not going to "take care" of me, then get the hell out of my way and I will take care of myself.
