Pelosi will boycott GOP "bipartisan" investigation unless it's independent
Edited on Thu Sep-08-05 11:51 AM by flpoljunkie
CNN's Ed Henry just reported that Pelosi found out about this "bipartisan/bicameral" investigation from the media. That's right, Bill "Cat Killer" Frist and the hapless Denny Hastert called the press conference yesterday to announce a bipartisan, bicameral investigation without even bothering to consult with the Democratic Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi.

Are there no depths to which the Republicans will not plunge to try and cover Dubya's naked ass in this, his latest glaringly incompetent display of presidential leadership?

3. Good! I'm happy that I called her office yesterday
I called my 3 Nazis, 2 in the Senate, one in the House. They're never any help, but I'll keep calling them anyway.

But in frustration, I called Pelosi's DC office and let them know that I very much appreciated what she said about President Dangerous & Delusional. I let them know that there were people who took note and appreciated it, even in the state of Kentucky. And I asked that she please keep it up, and go ahead and remove the gloves. They thanked me and hung up.

It sounds like she must have gotten hundreds of other calls like mine.

Boycott this freaking sham, Congresswoman Pelosi. And don't let any other Democrats in the House get by with showing up at the damned thing either.

4. GOOD FOR NANCY PELOSI -- * is "Dangeroud" YEHaaaaa
Edited on Thu Sep-08-05 11:33 AM by autorank
Tell the truth, show the outrage, and most importantly stop the collegiality nonsense. This is a scam, the President's investigation of himself. That's called introspection, we're all supposed to do it, and self criticism with a goal of improving one's behavior. Investigate this -- why? We know what happened. Create an honest chronology, get it out there, and let the people form a final conclusion. No stupid investigations. Warren Commission, oh great, very helpful. 911, wow, that sure put things to rest.

Lets get Michael Harris or some one like him to do a timeline. That's all we need. Good project for the DNC or a think tank.

On edit: My email to Nancy Pelosi, Democratic Leader, House of Reps.

Dear Ms. Pelosi:

I'm a long time Democrat living in Viriginia. I grew up in California and love the state.

I'm so proud of you as an American and as a Dcmocrat for telling the truth. Bush is "dangerous." Also, why have any investigation? We all know what happened. It's a waste of time.

Just get a really tight chronology of events and documents. That's all we need.

Great work. I'm so proud to be a Democrat now that party leaders are telling the truth.

Very truly yours,

5. Way to go, Nancy! How many independent investigations were opened
while Clinton was in office, EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THEM a lesser accusation than the criminal negligence of the Bushistas.

7. "Pelosi will boycott GOP "bipartisan" investigation...
...unless it's independent".

This is how it's done. She's doing more than just complaining or releasing a 'policy statement'. She is THREATENING TO TAKE ACTION...if there is no fairness or justice in the process.

We know that the RWingers won't offer a fair investigation...so Pelosi better be ready to boycott. Just as important...every Democratic leader needs to join her in that boycott as a demonstration of unity.

Nancy is great and one of my favorite's. She's the perfect person to be the House leader for the democrats. She's tough but can be oh so sweet too. I've been following her since Bush's State of the Union this year.
Her and Harry Reid are a perfect team.

8. My letter to Nancy Pelosi
We all need to email, write, and call our senators and members of Congress to let them know we are behind them 100 percent. Pelosi's email address is:

sf.nancy@mail.house.gov

--------------------------

Dear Ms. Pelosi,

I was so heartened to hear that you are going to boycott this sham of an investigation. I'm disgusted by what the republicans are doing by only thinking about their own political skin and not caring to find out what really happened before, during, and after Hurricane Katrina hit. And I'm totally sickened at how they pushed their hurricane aid bill through without letting the Democrats speak on it or even see what's in it. My God, don't we live in a democracy anymore?

Democrats need to stay strong. That's what we, the people who elected them, want and need right now. Don't back down. Don't let them bully you. They've had many years to run our government into the ground and it's high time that we all stand up and FIGHT!

I WANT MY COUNTRY BACK!!!!

Sincerely,
