3. If Lieberman beats Clark, I will lose a great deal of respect for NH...
That would be shameful.

I think that's what I read.

They may have moved it to Charleston.

6. No post-election results speech from Clark?
Maybe he saw what happened to Dean after Iowa and figured it was too risky to take a chance on making a bad speech.

Edited on Tue Jan-27-04 06:17 PM by mikehiggins
If you don't come in first, are you supposed to stick around so FAUX and CNN and MSNBC can gloat? Stand in the corner so Tucker Carlson can make snide remarks, while Carville and Gebala sit around keeping their mouths shut?

This is a campaign, dude. The fight is over in New Hampshire. Time to move on.

It's that Rommel thing.

20. That has been the feeling of some. If you don't
come in first, you're supposed to arrange a concession speech (a very subdued, "presidential" one at that) and hang your head in shame. Tears are often useful--they make for spectacular video.

No rallying the troops allowed!

:eyes:

12. if it's true...
...it's probably due to the weather expected later tonight. I think there's an event in SC that's been planned for a while, and it's possible he wants to get out of there before the weather front hits.

13. Good move for Clark.
Don't worry folks...Clark will do very well in SC.

I'll bet the good General beats Ed.

4th or 5th in NH isn't so bad for someone who's been pounded by the media and lot less exposure than the others.

This battle isn't that important for Clark anyways.

...good for him. If that storm hits NH as predicted, he'll be glad-handing folks in SC while the other candidates are trying to dig their way out of New England :hi:

19. Clark has a habit of doing that - he likes to "get on" with it.... doesn't
like to wait around. Wouldn't read anything into it - other than the fact he didn't come in first or second...

23. He missed a chance for some limelight
If he had stayed he would have had an opportunity for some press.
His loss (exit polls) must be pretty bad if he decided to leave so soon.
