"Blame Game" hasn't been catching on
Yes yes I know, all the GOP'ers have been repeating it.

But it's not catching on.

The media are angry about it. Recall yesterday's angry exchange between NBC's David Gregory and Scott McClellan?

Further, I think many of us feel that sick churn in our stomach. We've heard this sort of tripe before. Once again, Rove the Boob has played the same hand twice. Fool.

But the problem I see here are DU'ers who become emotionally enthralled by this. Why do you let this petty stuff get the best of you? I mean, did you expect them NOT to use this type of propaganda? This is who they are! They will not hold themselves accountable. When have they ever held themselves accountable? Concentrate your efforts on holding these men culpable.

I think the most recent Zogby poll sums it best: 41% approval ratings. Bush is losing. No two words can save him now.

Stop doing Rove's job for him. And just calm down, would you?

2. Accountablility and blame are 2 different things
The White House press corps found its guts yesterday and made that clear.

So whenever someone says blame game, just answer, "Where's the accountability?"

I, for one, am tired of Bush promoting and giving medals to those who mess up. And he retires or fires or demotes or smears those who tell the truth.

3. because the hypocrisy is blatant
They blame everyone else but themselves and then whine about 'the blame game.' Especially when it is blatantly obvious that they are indeed to blame.

Sometimes the hypocrisy is just too much for John/Jane Q Public. Let them spin. This is their downfall.

6. If the Dems were smart,
they'd use this as an example of what happens when we send too much of our men & women & equipment overseas in unnecessary wars. It'd be a great way to connect Katrina and Iraq.

5. Because it is not a game.
THis is serious and enough people know it. The GOP just sounds stupid when they keep repeating that over and over. Thye sound like a bunch of elementary school children.

Our meme shoulod be "This is not a game. People are dead and the crisis is ongoing."

8. Blame Game.
They're absolutely right - I am blaming him and his cronies.

So what? They deserve blame.

Let's give this talking point the respect it deserves - a contemptous look and an immediate return to the issues at hand.

9. Note to GOP:
Stop trying to shift the blame to Louisiana and New Orleans for George's colossal incompetence. Just answer the question. Why did Homeland Security and FEMA fail the American people?

11. I just heard it at a dinner Tuesday night.
Then the multimillionaire proceeded to tell me that he heard "on the radio" that that mayor of NO had no plan. I think I've figured out who he's listening to. I got up and left.

12. I'm not so hopeful
The press will get handed their scripts and told to follow them or lose their million dollar homes. Don't forget in this country money is more important than morals.

13. What is missing in the picture is the system failed, and ...
we still are in the midst of it. It is time to place blame, remove them from the equation, and get something that works going. It is more than politics, it is trying to help the people and cities that need it. How self-centered of them to think it is about them, it is about the victims.
