Back in January/February, when the film was in theatres, I made several posts promoting Danny Schecter's film; there was not much response. Here's another chance to see the documentary. I know Danny from his days at WBCN in Boston. In March he invited me to a screening at Brandeis. WATCH THIS DOCUMENTARY, IT IS WELL WORTH YOUR TIME!

If your local cable provider does not carry it, ask.

But view the film one way or another...buy a copy via the link, or request through your local library.

I must admit, I'm not familiar with IFC either, even though it's one of the 800 damn chanels in the lineup!

If you go to the IFC link and click on get IFC, you can enter your cable co and your address and it will tell you if they have it or not. That's how I found out.

Schecter is an A+ journalist ... I remember him from BCN too ... this should be great !!

Why not tape the show and invite others to your house to view it? a few of us in my little town have started our very own "living room series" of political films ...

it's a great way to meet people, stimulate progressive activism, educate people on the issues and help spread the word ...

I used to love that station when I used to get it. Then I moved, and it's part of an extra package that costs more; I'm already paying over 90 bucks a month for cable and internet, I can't afford to increase my cable spending. :-(

we've seen so much information about the lies leading up to the Iraq war ... now, virtually all Americans know that Iraq did NOT have the WMD that bush said they had ...

bush defends himself by saying the CIA gave him bad information ... the truth is that bush lied to the Congress and "fixed the facts around the policy" ...

but bush is not the only guilty party ... when our institutions work correctly, all major policies should ultimately be made by a well-informed electorate ... and that is where the MSM failed the American people ...

Schecter's film, "Weapons of Mass Deception", is important because it goes beyond the bush lies about WMD and the justifications for war that bush lied about; it's important because it shows how the MSM, the "last line of defense", allowed themselves to be co-opted by the neo-cons and failed to "safeguard the truth" ...

anyway, the Schecter film is on in one hour ... the fact that our media were complicit in starting an unjust war is totally unconscionable ... each one who knew the truth and lied should be tried for war crimes ... broadcast licenses should be revoked ... corporations and their leading officers should be held criminally liable ...

the first day we regain power, heads will roll in the town square ...
