1st and 2nd place too close to call. Third place being battled over by two or three candidates. A surprise might happen in there somewhere.

This 2004 nomination race is remarkable. Could it be because there were so MANY candidates?

1. Yes it truly is
Most people say it's bad that we have so many candidates. I think it's great. There are so many good choices. I (and the pollsters probably) have no idea whats gonna happen in NH.

2. Latest Exit Poll: Kerry 38% Dean 30%
I got these numbers from a Kennedy source. Hardly a cliff hanger.

11. Wow! The come back kid.
If Dean gets within single digits of Kerry, I think it is a strong comeback, considering the abuse he took from the media and other candidates. 5 or 8 points is close enough for me. We're back in the ball game. It's a long 5 weeks until super Tuesdays and anything can happen.

How close did Clinton come back in NH 1992? 8 points IIRC.

5. Great
I think that these close races are the best way to get out the Democrats' message. The news media HAS to cover something so exciting. Remember how they totally ignored Gore after the Supreme Court decision? They'll do the same once we have a nominee firmly in place.

Last night CNN gave a lot of coverage to a Bush-Cheney rally in New Hampshire. I think the Repubs are getting worried about all this fee publicity for the Dems.

9. In a weird way
I think it may be hurting Whistle Ass not to have someone to run against. He'd be doing better if he was beating some poor schmuck in the primaries, imho.

I think I heard that the Pretender is visiting NH tomorrow to try to steal dem thunder. Good luck, Chimpy.

15. Good point!
He's in a carnival shooting gallery right now... doesn't have one target to aim for. It's good... gives those bozos less time to prepare their attacks (no offense to clowns or Bozo lovers everywhere). :+

12. Exciting? Hah, it's worse than PMS!
At least that only comes once a month...this is every 7 days at least until mid march, maybe longer!!!

Can't concentrate, I'm tense and irritable, and worst of all... I'm retaining chocolate!

:argh:

18. LOL!
I know what you mean; I've been feeling guilty myself for ignoring the kids to channel surf all the news programs. Oh well -- just one more thing they get to complain to their therapist about when they get older.

13. Those Democrats are so confused
Edited on Tue Jan-27-04 06:46 PM by Rumpole
Look at all the different positions they're presenting.
And they've got no staying power.
I'll bet only one is left in the race by November.

Vote Republican: one party, one leader, one thought.

(/inappropriate humor)

16. Not looking forward to tomorrow...
If you live in NH, the day after the primaries is like the day after Christmas. As soon as the polls close, it always occurs to me that nobody will want to know my opinion for another four years!
