Got another e-mail from a ***supporter about a great article
by Bob Williams in the Wall Street Journal. It was blame placing, you know, the Gov. the mayor...never the Feds. I want to light into the person sending this stuff but he's family. Any nice phrases used by you all to politely tell him st stuff it. I don't want these e-mails.

1. Last night on Fux News
Britt Hume and his choir of asshats were having a heated debate...
on whether it was Mayor Nagin's fault or Governor Blanco's. That seems fair and balanced.

3. My experience is that you CANNOT be polite,
even to family. Even when I outright state that "we need to change the subject because we are not going to agree" I have found that they do not shut up. I have taken to just walking out of the room.

Like all bullies, they have to get their way, even at the expense of family peace.

Good luck. But I doubt you will have it.

7. you're right, they feel so entitled it's disgusting
They are all martyrs everyone is persecuting them, when they are really living in a never ending "opposite day".

My sister is bad but my sister-in-law is so horrible I refuse to have anything to do with her.

4. The only perfect persons to the republicans are God and Bush,
but there is doubt about God because he created Gays.

The Republicans don't want the "blame game" because the persons at fault doesn't want to be blamed.

5. Ask him how the LA officials stopped the feds from helping in
Mississippi and Alabama for the same 5 days it took them to START helping in LA (I say "start" because they're still acting incompetently).

Can you block emails?

I plan to tell anyone who starts this up, "stop trying to defend the indefensible."

Or, you could mention the swift responses during the election year to hurricanes in Bush's brother's state.

Or, posit what would have happened if Bill Clinton had responded to a disaster in Gov. George Bush's Texas the way Bush has responded to Katrina.

That's all I've got.

6. Bush left his vacation immediately to sign the
Terri Schaivo bill. The Republican leadership called a special session just for the Schiavo bill. Why was that reason for immediate action by bush and the Republican leadership and not New Orleans?

9. Here you go
I live in the reality-based community. It is abundantly clear that the lethal failure of the USG to act promptly will be remembered by history as one of the greatest blunders ever by an American president. Maybe you want to argue that a five week vacation was needed by a man that does hard work and to cut it short a few days because of the largest natural disaster in history, is asking too much.

Wait until the books and documentaries come out. Maybe by then the national conversation will reveal some truth to you and give you cause to join the reality-based community. Thanks for giving me the WSJ article, as I am studying the propaganda techniques used to hold the opinions of those that have undue respect for authority that is highly corrupted.

------------------------

Really I would just tell him that you don't buy the propaganda of the WSJ and that in the class war that goes undeclared by the havenots, you really have to challenge the financial flagship publication of the wealthy. Then I would say that you put the issue up at DU and furnish the link and give him a chance to read the responses. That way you do not have to say much of anything.
