http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2005/09/08/opinion/polls/main824591.shtmlIt does, however, relate to how he does--or in this case, doesn't do his job as Commander-in-Chief in times of national emergencies.

always be between 35-38% that will always see him as good. I am talking to one right now. He completely avoids the lies. They are wed to the christian conservative philosophy and always will be. He is almost as low as you can go. Maybe 2-3% pts. more

Bush lives in denial though, as Pelosi pointed out. Bush probably thinks he still has political capital to spend.

38% still think he's doing a good job?! It's over...I give up...they win. Why do we even bother in the face of so much stupidity?

That's a rock bottom figure. There is absolutely NO WAY he can come back from this. There is nothing he can do to portray himself as caring at this point.
We should expect to see him out there every day, unloading water bottles, kissing babies, holding hands with the homeless, visiting shelters, handing out debit cards and smiling, on and on.
I think they realized IN THE 11TH HOUR who they were dealing with.
The more he tries to desperately hang on, the worse it will be. Remember his Social Security fiasco (60 cities in 60 days). The more he got out there, the worse it became.
