Bush is hurting himself by trying to "fix" things
Because each step he takes to posture so that it looks like he gives a damn is drawing attention to the near genocide he caused last week.

Really, what Bush needs to do is focus on... Iraq.

No, no... wait a minute... maybe he shouldn't.

One second thought, he's fucked.

4. he may look like he is going down by many, but judging by c-span
callers last several days--he still has a lot of support out there.

5. I know, I hear them too, but I 've heard the Pubs have people paid
to do nothing but call WJ every morning, and I believe that!

I don't think you can put too much weight to what you hear on those call ins. I'm inclined to trust the polls more, and they've been showing a real downturn for months!

6. I believe it - Thom Hartmann was talking about call-ins to every kind of
talk show, not just political ones, all repeating the same talking points.
It's not like they don't have the money to pay for all these shills.

8. You also know that most RW talk hosts won't let a dissenter on air.
Many years ago, I was listening to Rush and he was spewing his BS, and I decided to call him on it! I got his screener, and when he asked what would you like to say to Rush, I said "He's wrong on..." That's as far as I got! I was disconnected!

That's why all his listeners seem to all agree with his BS. Listen to Ed Schults, or Guy James, or Lynn Cullen. They let all callers through. In fact, most liberal show hosts let dissenters through.

It's all a RW scam!!!!!

7. It's interesting you mention this.....
because other people have noticed it, too. The latest issue of Time magazine came out. Of course, the magazine was devoted to the hurricane and its attendant disaster.

There was an entire page devoted to Bush. There was a photo of him, standing in the rubble looking confused. The article said, "Bush is trying to solicit other big names to help in the effort, like his father and President Clinton. In Bush's case, maybe it's not such a bad idea".

Translation = you are an idiot, Bush.

9. I hope the damage to NO can be fixed.
But what this has done to America is unfixable. American's learned two things:

1) Our government will allow Americans to sit for days starving and dying.

2) Our government is totally unfit to protect us in a disaster.

These images are set in our minds. Unless Bush can turn back the clock, there's no way to fix this.

So he thinks he can jump in when the emergency is over and the damage has been done and save the day with a successful recovery! Give me a break! Many people and agencies are involved with the recovery along with the government. We expect it to go well.

It's laughable watching Tweety act like Cheney is some kind of hero over-seeing the recovery. A hero doesn't show up after the fact!

Edit: I just noticed they turned off the tag line thingy. here it is:

Moron* is king of the crap people, born of a lightening strike on a pile of cow dung, now on a rampage to turn everything he* touches into shit.

11. Did you see his press briefing this morning?
He looked drugged and out of it. Slurring words, with that wierd jaw thing going on. First time I've ever seen him looking like he didn't get a good's night sleep.
