"this time it's not like 9/11, this time the enemy is incompetence" CBS
On the CBS nightly news. A comment on how Bush leadership ratings were in the 80s after 9/11, now there are in the 40s.

2. Incompetance is the smoke
How many times will we accept this false positive? Feds didn't help on purpose. Their friends will make lots of money reconstructing the Gulf coastline, making it into the image THEY like, not the wild, beautiful place it once was. They don't like black people, they don't like poor people. Plain and true.

Time is running out for nice guys - we've had our economy pounded, our international standing smashed, our people maimed and killed at home and in Iraq, our manufacturing base is going away, the national debt is now a national threat, ad nauseum. No good stuff happening to ordinary US citizens. Only bad. Keeps getting worse.

Hope his ratings go down to zero, where they really should be.

Most republicans are not original thinkers, they are sheep who pant after authority and approval like baby goats after milk. Now that the pendulum has swung, the masses of them will soon follow. They know no other way to exist.
I expect * approval ratings in the low 20's within two weeks.
